Why consider virtual support?
That seed of doubt may make you feel as though you're doing it all wrong. Quite often you may have the knowledge and skills but things need a little tweaking. Just going through it with someone can help build your confidence. Virtual support means you can do all of this in the comfort of your own environment without having to receive someone in your home. While many are cautious about how this might work practically, it's surprisingly effective. While carrying out an assessment of your feeding, I can offer practical tips to support you, so you feel clearer about your situation and more positive about your feeding journey.
Why consider Antenatal education?
Antenatal classes are a great way to build your knowledge and give you the opportunity to think about your feeding journey and what to expect in the first few days. The session will include how breastfeeding works, the benefits, how to get feeding off to a good start, positioning and attachment, normal newborn behaviours and how do you know if feeding is going well.
The individual consultation is great for those who are first time parents and are unsure about what to expect, we can talk through specific concerns you may have. This is also helpful for those who have had previous feeding diificulties and would like to go over past experiences.
What can I expect postnatally?
A postnatal consultation gives you the opportunity to receive support around positioning and attaching your baby, evidence based information to support your knowledge and an individualised care plan to suit your needs.
